What equipment do I need for Workout in Winter?

Ready to take on the Workout in Winter challenge? We sure are! Below is a list of the equipment we’ll be using throughout the next 3 months. But if you don’t have access to equipment, don’t sweat! Keep scrolling to read our go-to at-home alternatives at the end of this blog!

 

June Challenge – POWER 

  • Heavy dumbbells (5kg+) 
  • Light dumbbells (1-2kgs) 
  • Resistance band
  • Mini band
  • Sliders

 

July Challenge – STRENGTHEN

  • Kettlebell (8, 12 or 16kg) 
  • Box
  • Skipping rope
  • Heavy Dumbbells (5kg+) 
  • Light dumbbells (1-2kgs)
  • Bench

 

August Challenge – MOVE

  • Resistance band
  • Mini band
  • Pilates ball
  • Chair
  • Sliders
  • Heavy dumbbells (5kg+) 
  • Light dumbbells (1-2kgs)
  • Box

 

Don’t have access to equipment? Try these at-home alternatives 

  • Dumbbells = drink bottles, tin cans or even bottles of wine! 
  • Kettlebells = use one of your dumbbells or hold two together, or a tub of washing detergent or another heavy item lying around that you can safely swing. 
  • Mini/resistance bands = you can do the workout without 
  • Pilates ball = a firm small cushion 
  • Sliders = a pair of socks 
  • Skipping rope = sub in high knees or jogging on the spot 
  • Box = a chair, step or bench
